Summer 2023
Greetings from York Harbor!
What a beautiful May we had this year. Its’ memory helps justify our rainy June and early July! The many gardens around our properties are flourishing. Remaining optimistic, we anticipate a sunny rest of July and August. During September and October, our Seacoast area slows down to a more relaxed and comfortable pace. It is an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful time to visit. Beach weather is still with us much of the time, followed by stunning foliage and cooler evenings.
As many of our guests know, we are constantly re-investing in our collection of historic buildings, both inside and out. Over the winter months we completed the renovations of rooms 16, located in our Yorkshire House, and room 301, located in Harbor Cliffs. Both rooms now feature updated, stylistic bathrooms while staying true to the historic nature of the buildings. Room 16 is now much larager than ever before and features new furnishings and windows, and updated HVAC, which we plan to install in all Yorkshire House rooms over the next few years.
On the outside, we are in the final stages of completing our new Yorkshire House Atrium Spa located at the rear of the building. This beautiful outdoor space will feature a large in-ground year-round jacuzzi hot tub, a large patio with comfortable outdoor seating, a large firepit area, and tables for our guests. The area may even be used to host events during the Summer and Fall months. And down at Chapman Cottage, we have installed a new, spacious frame tent heated for outdoor dining well into the Fall. Chef Jermain’s menu has been exceptionally well received this season!
For ease of booking and for newer guests who may not be familiar with our properties, we are in the process of launching a brand-new website. This new website will feature links to book specific rooms, easy to navigate pages, new and updated guest room photos along with all necessary information to book a corporate or social event through our sales department.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you back to the Inn and our Maine Seacoast Area!
